3 days, 3 rides

Sunny Saturday we have to stay close to home, the reason being the film "dust of time" at the film festival. Our ride choice is the Chateauguay valley, probably a 100 km ride like Ste-Martine-Franklin-Powerscourt-then follow the Chateauguay river back. (This can be done in equally excellent shorter versions by parking at Howick, Ormstown, or Huntingdon), the valley is an excellent destination for road cyclists. Short easy rides or long easy rides... just a fun saturday afternoon in the country.

Sunny Sunday and sunny Monday will be off-road in the townships, Gosford or Mt Hereford, and then one day on the road in the hills in Lanaudiere (St-Jean-de-Matha) or, if the mountain biking was especially vigorous, the easier Maskinongé part of western Mauricie like Yamachiche-Ste-Elie-de-Caxton-Louiseville. The final destination can be decided as late at the autoroute exit at Joliette!

We hope this is the best labour day weekend ever.

Ride safe.
