Cyclists like the Eastern Townships the most

La Presse reports that cyclists (and cyclistes) name the Eastern Townships as their favorite destination for cycling excursions.

The Laurentiens was next with the P'tit train du Nord (now 232 km) bike path as its cycling tourism destination par excellence.

It doesn't hurt that these two regions were already the most popular tourist destinations.

We agree that these two destinations are great. but we point out that quebec is a big (very, very big) place, with lots more great cycling tourism destinations than these two regions.

The Route Verte is a great way to make a first visit to a new area. Every region has invested tourism dollars into creating regional cycling maps, so a stop at a tourism booth is a great way to get more info to get deeper into a region. Exploration is great, is fundamental to the human psyche, and Quebec is one of the great places to explore.
