Stupid bike paths

We at Cycle Fun Montreal think about safety. A lot. Basically, we want to live another day, so we can play hard, eat, sleep, and then wake up and play hard again. (somewhere in there is a job, but...)

On this idea of safety, some bicycle riders we know simply will not ride on the streets and roads and will only cycle on bike paths, because of the perceived safety of the bicycle path.

Uh-huh.

Uh-oh.

The Bicycle Blog Cyclelicious has a video post about the stupidest bike lane in America, from SlateV.

It is very amusing, but the message is serious: let's remember that safety is a state of mind, and not simply stripes painted on the ground.
